Yesterday I bumped into this article about designing the old Mac OS, it compares the direction recent design decisions have taken today, maximizing the potential for distraction and addiction to profit from advertising and selling data.
What I liked most is that there seems to be becoming a trend configure the cellphone's screen to grayscale in order to filter out all those glittering design, like thoses from slot machines.
I set mine in grayscale yesterday. It looks very light and clean, and somehow calmer, I'm excited about how the next few weeks will go.
